Buying a long travel kit

Okay I am about to pull the trigger on an All-Pro long travel kit with steering upgrade and fox shocks.

In the rear I will be running the expedition leaf pack with fox shocks.

I will be doing the install myself. ( except for the extended axle
Part they recommend to have Toyota do that and I am having them do that.

Any suggestions thoughts comments?

Oh yes it's a 2012 double cab TRD off road

for 2nd gens yes. but i think its only 2 inches wider.

 

Don't waste your money on the HD steering,

My dealer wouldn't install them as they're not a serviceable part.

Why not do the steering upgrade? And in the install paperwork it says to have Toyota do it. Haha hope my local dealer does

probably a dumb newb question but what does that do? any pros for non LT trucks?

 

prevents your ball joint rod ends from binding and limiting your travel

 

please don't have toyota do the axles. I really doubt they'll even do that. I had a local shop swap my axles for 100 bucks. Toyota will be way more expensive. Talk to a few friends or search around for a reputable local shop

 

Wow so I can have the same HD Stettin upgrade all pro offers for $50. Hmmm

And anyone know of any good shops in WA state? If so I will use them for my axles

not exactly just like All Pro's kit cuz I think they include inner and out tie rods and other shit, but its the heim rod ends that give you more articulation without binding:

when are you pulling the trigger?

spray all suspension bolts down with pb blaster before you work on your truck. and clean it too, your life will be much easier!

 

I should be buying it within two weeks. I get paid next Friday and I don't want to drain the bank to low haha. And what's the pb blaster for. I keep her clean all the time. It's a 2012 win less than 3K on her so not to much rode grime build up

 

If you're going lt why not go the full 3.5"? Just curious.
