long travel functionality

well i would like to keep the fron ifs set up and possible go with a long travel setup for my truck. im just a bit unsure of how well a LT setup would perform on rocks, mud, and othe slow speed type of wheeling. can anyone enlighten me?

There is a couple of guys up by Chicago with BADASS lt rock crawlers. Just put an arb up there and you will have a very capable rig

I debated this for a while. As much as LT cost, you could get a crawler and front locker and be way more capable than if you just got LT. Thats just how im looking at it, I would love to have LT and maybe later down the road after I get a crawler and locker I might get LT.

No experience with it myself but I've also heard that LT preforms ok crawling, but like Rebel said, if you want to do crawling, better to go with lockers and what not. Go LT if you plan to actually hit some high speed stuff hard or else it'll probably just end up being overkill and a waste of money.

Unless you plan on hauling ass, LT would most likely be a waste of money.
A midtravel will actually help you on narrower trails. If you're keeping IFS, I'd suggest a solid midtravel and use the extra money on gears, lockers, hookers, and a stripper pole.

Oh yea you can crawl LT...

Solid axle is still better, but you can crawl one minute and haul ass the next. Solid axle sucks at high speed.

To answer this original question: yes LT will handle better in crawling than stock no question about it and for one main reason, more travel.
