First off thanks matt for the solo spindles. Im excited with my buy:D but it blows cuz I can't install them yet, not a good feeling just seeing them sit:(

anyways I have 2 options I'm trying to weight out But im more in to option #1 but have option 2 in mind just to feel the difference in the build process

Option 1: Get used UCAs save money and get the uniball and heim upgrade for install

Option 2: Just get the new UCAs and get the uniball/heim upgrade at a later date.

I guess a 3rd option is just used UCAs once I get some money

I more or less know my direction but any input is always nice.

I would just get the ucas... Why do you want the heim upgrade steering?

Just get the ucas. $800 upgrade for a mid travel truck is pricey. You can save that cash for long travel, plating areas like the frame, motor mounts etc which will cost more down the road if not taken care of

For sure. I am going to do the coil buckets at time of install. I was saving for LT before I bought the spindles. But now MT for the front and LT for the rear in due time.

Sounds good. You can use that upgrade money on the rear LT or front plating.

How would getting the steering upgrade be better on a LT the MT. would it benefit one more then the other.

Lets put the cost thing aside on this questions

I would Do what david said. Save the money for other things, Im Lt and still got balljoint lower and stock extended steering with no issues, Yet im seeing the need to reinforce things more than ever. The steering upgrade would only mainly benefit the uniball lower which is stronger, and probably slightly smoother steering with the hiem. There is no travel increase with the Hiem steering anyways i belive.

I am also running stock ball joints and stock tie rod ends. As long as you do your duty on replacing these components you will be good. Heim steering helps maximize wheel travel but it is only small increments if any on LT. Not sure if you would see any gains running MT.

you can only run the heim steering/lower uni ball conversion with LT lower arms. you're sticking with stock lowers so it's not an option for ya
