    Oh boy...
Im planning on lifting the rear 2 more inches from my 6" lift, might go more depending on how far i can get my front suspension while still being able to align properly.

Right now im sitting at 28" all around from bottom of the finder to the center of the hub. Id like to be at 30" all around. Today ill be cranking my coilovers to see if i can get that 30" up front. But the rear is another issue.

currently im running 2 add-a-leafs on my stock lift with a 3" block. I got a friend that will be helping me custom cut a 4" block out of aluminum, however i dont like bigger blocks and i think 4" will be my max. Im curious what others think about blocks. I am trying to avoid as much axle wrap as possible and i heard blocks give the most.

My final comment and question(s) are, i want to eventually go all leaf pack. Who do i talk to for acquiring such a pack? Price is the issue because shipping will murder me in HI. Who do you guys know will give the best price for such a big leaf pack?

Also if i lift the rear separately (at a later date) will i have to re align?

This is the LT section, not fabtech/block lifts. 8"? Really? I want to see pics of how it sits now

Holy chit, 4 inch block? and you want to get 8 inches of lift out of the front? Get a Chevy to destroy, save the Taco.

avoid tall blocks pretty much at all costs

    they destroy leaf packs.

Talk with alcan for a custom leaf pack, that's what comatosehi did, came out pretty good

Yeah its really not hard to do. I have plenty friends on my home rock of Kauai that get 8" lift purely out of suspension.

and another friend with a 12" coming. Here we GO BIG or no go at all...

and dont even bother suggesting body lifts, that shits a waist.

    Forget Chevy Toyota mo Betta
like i said, i really dont want to go with a bigger block but im on a time constraint with my alignment appointment. i figure if i do the block temporarily then get my springs it shouldn't change my alignment specs too much.

yeah i am actually his next door neighbor (when im back home on kauai). his height is what im trying to get to. Basically my reasoning is so that i absolutely dont rub my 35s anymore...

but he sold his truck tho. And Fabtech payed for his leaf pack when they built his truck for free :p

So good news for all those like me who hate hearing the word "Bigger Blocks". My friend back on kauai has an 8" leaf pack he is selling to me for cheap so i am getting it sent to Oahu sometime this or next week. No more blocks in the rear :D whew

I need to see a picture of this thing with an 8" leaf pack. What do you have in the front to level it out?

ill post up the pics once its finished, the leaf pack is still on Kauai so once my friend ships them ill be installing them the first day off i get from work. For the front i just have a 1 inch spacer, i already have procomp coilovers so im not worried. Its not like im gunna jump my truck. i just hated rubbing my 35x12.5's

very pleased with the outcome... and yes Tacoma's can very much handle 8" leaf packs with no other major modifications. maybe e-brake line mounting bracket extensions (come with any 6 inch lift) just had to add an inch to it to feel safe about not hanging on them.
