So I just got Icon stage 3 with ext travel CO's. Do I have to modify or replace my spindles? I read somewhere it is necessary.

do you have something like the total chaos long travel kit / all pro long travel.

Or are you working with strictly standard / oem upper and lower.

at the minimum with those coil overs your going to need an aftermarket UCA, and limiting straps.

It's the stage 3 so it comes with UCA's. So what you're saying, Rock Lobster, there is a difference between long travel and extended travel?

Ohhh...I get it. See, now I'm learning stuff! Awesome! Thanks you guys, for real. Traded my 5100's for this kit. Seems a little stiff. Do you know if it'll settle down or is this it?

if they are extended travel 8inch shocks, your gonna want to run limiting straps on standard length LCA's... otherwise you will top out HARD

I don't know what the previous poster is trying to say...

But I doubt they're 8" travel shocks. Icon sells "extended" coil overs that are built for stock applications. He'll droop out some more, but not to the point that he's going to need limit straps.

The most important factor is that the LCA contacts the bump stop before the shock bottoms out. Otherwise, you're going to bend the shock when you bottom out.

    So maybe some super bumps?

You have Mid Travel (MT, also known as extended travel), long travel (LT) is the guys that replace the upper and lower control arms and widen the stance as mentioned above, most of them also have the big aftermarket front fender flares. I have the same as you but King instead of Icon, don't need anything besides what comes in that kit.
