In honor of this, I will be taking $10 of each wheel bearing purchased, $10 of each Stage 1, and $20 of every Stage 2 Kit that I sell and will be sending it directly to Mike's family to help out in whatever way they feel they need it. It is the best way that I can think of from all the way out here in Alabama to honor a great guy, and a great member of TW. I hope that his wife takes his place on here and joins us all.
How long are you going to be doing these contributions? I'm interested in the stage 2 w/ 250A alternator, but with a big relocation back to Colorado coming up, I'm a little tight on funds and time.

This is a spectacular gesture on your part Bill. I have promoted your bearings for the FJ guys. What is the possibility of verifying the cable lengths and selling a kit for the '07-'09 FJ assuming that the cable lengths may be different than the Tacoma?

Actually I just did the first FJ Stage 5 install this week. I have all the measurements down and am working on getting the kit designed so that I can offer them up for those who are interested.

This is great. I am sure there are many FJ owners that want to upgrade.

I have changed my terminals and battery so my cables are not long enough now and are under constant tension. Are your starter wires a little bit longer?

Hey Spoonman! I can make the cables any length that you want. So if you want one of the Kits just let me know, and tell me how much longer than stock you would like them.!

My dual battery install should be going in within a week or two. Pics and write up to follow when it's complete for anyone else interested in the same. Hoping my headlights dim significantly less when using my winch (upgrading alternator as well).

I expect it will help. At idle speed you might still have a bit of dimming since a winch pulls usually about 400 amps, but you will notice a difference for sure from the way it was!

I thought about this. I know my friend's diesel has an idle control for helping it warm up in the winter. It'd be nice to have one of those units for winching remotely. Just the cost/benefit of it probably isn't there. How oftern would you be using the winch from the outside of your vehicle without a friend along to sit in the driver's seat or vice versa. Still would be neat though.

TRue. I usually am sitting in my truck if I am winching, but there are those times where you might not be able to do that.

Meh, I switched out my halogens to LEDs, the dual Optimas should take care of the rest. Anything else would probably be overkill.

That is true. I admit the one thing I don't like about my truck is the headlights. Old-school sealed beam sucks. Even with projector conversions they are still not as bright as I would like. I would love to have a second-gen type headlight so that I could convert to LEDs.

I want the LS460R retrofits soooo bad. I just can't afford them right now. I keep secretly hoping a rock will jump up and give me an excuse to replace mine.
