      You made a reference to old cars w/ drum brakes pulling weight. As someone who also had drums all the way around on cars. both pwr and assist.....I'd def. do the pwr conversion on your truck. Night and day. Drums really aren't so bad when pwr assisted.
      Dad's car was a Newport, it had pqr assist factory.. Most heavy cars were.
