Noticed you used to have the vantech roof rack installed on a V series cap. Was debating the same rack as it is 1/2 - 1/3 the price of a Yakima Thule or Rhino. How did you like it? Difficult to install?
Installation is super straight forward but I had a cap shop install it so that I didn’t screw it up since I was having them remove and replace the front window with a tilt-down slider at them same time.
Great thanks for the info! Would only be using them for kayaks, so would also not really need them to be movable. Thanks again!
Im looking at installing footwell lights, do I need the DSIM harness and CH4X4 switch to do so? or is there another option ? yes I want them to come on/off with the map and dome lights
Sorry, I just saw this. If you want them to come on and off as a courtesy lights and also have them controllable via a switch, the DSIM harness is perfect for that. Regarding the switch, the CH4X4 switches fit perfectly but you can use any switch you'd like. Feel free to PM with any other questions. Thanks!
Thanks! I bought them from my local dealer and had them pricematch Toyota of Cool Spring’s online price. Part number is PTR20-35110-BK.
Happy to help! Grill is the OEM Pro grill. Headlights are the OEM TRD headlights with the black headlight mod done (opened, insides painted, resealed). I have a lot of pictures and more info in my build page for everything I’ve done to the truck if you want to take a look there.
Happy to help! Build page: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/pwalnuts-2017-bbp-sport-dcsb-4x4-build.474230/ There’s a ton of info and pics in the first post.
gorgeous truck..where on the space coast do you live? i live in viera but work in melbourne at the fire dept.
How do you like your access vanish cover? I'm thinking of ordering the same one? does it flap much on the highway or it's pretty air tight?
I love it! One of the best mods I've done. I haven't noticed any noise on the highway. You do see it waving some in the rear view mirror but it stays in place and is super secure with the velcro. It settles down as soon as you slow down. When it's snapped in place at the tailgate it's completely flat, you don't see the imprint of the crossbars. I highly recommend it! PMing you more info.
Did you have to purchase new screws for the front tow hook? I also have a sport &the orignal screws arnt long enough. Local hardware stores dont have longer screws SMH?
Hey man! Love the truck and the dog! I'm some South Florida in the Fort Myers area so its good to see another local Florida guy. I wanted to double check and see what you have going on with your suspension. Do you have the KO2 on a stock suspension set up?
Hello! I'm in the Space Coast area. I have 100% stock Sport suspension, no lift of any kind. I have zero rubbing and zero issues. A lot of people run this setup successfully without any problems.
And thanks, I'm really happy the truck so far, trying to keep the mods modest and tasteful. And the dog is a little brat but we love him to death!
