always tinkering, Male, from NE Missouri

I drove over 140K miles on 255/85/R16 (in my avatar) size and never had a hydroplane problem - I hope you have the same luck! Aug 4, 2015

Hello Bowyer! I know this post is several years old: tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-o2-sensor-done.142451/

I have the same problem on my '03. The sensor mounting studs are welded to exhaust pipe right? With all that corrosion you didn't have a problem mounting new hardware to them?

And how in the world did you not grind the threads off the studs as you ground the nuts off?! You must be far more skilled than me! :)

Well, thanks a lot! The tires in my avatar are 255/85/R16 - I drove about 150K miles on them and never had a problem with hydroplaning.

      Hi Bowyer2002,
I really like the look of your 235/80r17's. I understand tall and narrow tires are generally accepted as being far superior to wide tires in every way other than for floating on mud and snow. Just wondering how your experience has been with them. I live in Texas, surrounded by hydroplaning 33x12 trucks, can't wait to get some of these! Thanks
