Hey Jimmy- are you from South Carolina? If so I would like to know where you took your truck to get painted. I am in the Easley area and it is almost impossible to find someone to paint a whole truck.

      Thanks for any info.

Hey brother, you commented on a post about the steering column falling into some guys lap. I hit a ditch dodging a deer and the same thing happened to me! I’ve been going through these threads and NOONE says how to fix it… it looks like those little plastic clips on top of the column hold that metal clip in place that fell out. Maybe the clip is broken? I have photos if you want to see them? thank you , Curt

Sure I'll look at the photos. More than likely the nylon slides on either side are broken.

I just posted but didn't know if you would see it since it's a old post on National Starter & Alternator - "Jimmy - I just started to order this and they want $20 shipping - seems ridiculous for a small package that weighs nothing - did you pay this ? Did you find any coupons that worked ? Thanks for any reply."

I was wondering just how to make sure to properly adjust the rear cable and bell cranks after replacing shoes and drums I also was wondering if there could be an underlying problem to this such as weak spring in my brake drum assembly? Thankyou

I took it for a short drive and used my e brake a bit got back home and my rear right brake drum was scorching hot! As if my rear right adjuster was over adjusting compared to my rear left and my bell cranks we’re pulled out of wack a bit?

Hey I know you know a lot about Toyota’s and I own a Manual 1998 Tacoma 4wd 3.4l and replaced my rear section of my parking brake/e brake cable I adjusted it and the bell cranks to what to believed to be right from my chilton and Haynes manuals!!

Hey jimmyh, did you ever figure out what was wrong with your cruise control? Everything works, I have checked all the fuses and even replaced the actual cruise control switch yesterday with a new one. I did not change the spiral wire harness connector for it, I'm going to do that today so hopefully that fixes it. The "Cruise" light only comes on every now and then. There's no pattern behind it. Thanks in advance.

I have never had an issue with my cruise control.
