    Does anyone run full synthetic in the newer tacomas. The local dealership did not reccomend synthetic, my first oil change is coming up. WEST CENTRAL ILL.

    There is no reason why you shouldn't go with syn. Mobil 1 with a OEM filter for me. BTW welcome to TW. I look forward to seeing you around the forum.

    200,000 mi
    I run it in my first gen just fine. Truck has 188K on it and runs like new. Synthetic provides better wear protection, reduced start-up friction and lower maintenance cost (with extended oil change intervals). You can't go wrong with a good synthetic.
