Just curious if there are any other taco owners here from the great lakes state.

Sometimes it seems like I am the only one here in mid Michigan that owns a 2nd gen. I see lots of 1st gen but rarely a 2nd gen.

    GO WINGS.

I work in Lansing and I can go 2-3 days without seeing another Taco.

    None.... ....Yet!
As my first official post, I will say that I own a 1st gen, but up here in Traverse City I see them all the time, both gen's.

I see quite a few Tacomas rolling around. However, as a general rule, any sort of import enthusiasts are rare in MI. In my neighborhood, damn near every house has either all Fords or all GMs in the driveway. Then there's my house, with the Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Honda. Might be why some of my neighbors won't talk to me. ;)

I am in the the heart of GM country up here in Bay City! All I ever see is GM just about.

There are 8 vehicles owned by the people on our drive:
    3 Chevys
    3 Fords
    1 Kia
    1 Toyota

There is a new DoubleCab Taco about a 1/4 mile away now as of about 2 months ago.

I live in the Lansing area. I just bought a 2009 Double Cab with the TRD Off-Road package. I see an occasional Tacoma around town. Though, two of my co-workers have Tacomas.

Has anyone been to the Rocks & Valleys off road park in Harrison? We were thinking of checking it out. The truck isn't modded, so we'd be sticking to the easy stuff, but it would be fun to bounce around a bit and get a little dirty. :)

I didn't see this post unitl now. I have been to R&V. It is a great park. I am not highly modded or anything either. There is something there for everyone. There are several big play area you can enjoy other than the trails too. Ron Price is a great host too (along with the rangers there). There are quite a few pics from there at greatlakes4x4.com and Michigan Wheelers. It isn't all tech stuff by far. I was quite happy with my trip there.

I had a thread here about a MI meet at R&V too but I didn't really hear from many so I don't see it happening. Especially now that I have a bunch of other stuff planned.

Here are a few pics from there.

As usual, this hill was a lot steeper than it looks.

If you are into camping, I suggest heading over to expedtionportal.com and look around there at some past and upcoming (meaning next year possible) events.

Where is R&V?? Is this located in Michigan or near buy like Ohio or something? Do you think I would have a problem in a 2wd Pre-runner?

Its in Harrison pretty much in the middle of the Lower Penninsula. It might be a whole mile from US-127. It is located near Snowsnake Ski Park (same people own it). You would probaby do OK on most of the stocker trails and in the play areas but it wouldn't hurt to have another truck along just in case. There are rangers that patrol there and will help out if you need it though.

As I stated before, the people that work there and run it are great. There is rustic camping there for $10 or $15 a night plus there are a couple mom & pop motels not far at all.

Just bought this 06 access cab. We have a bunch of lake effect snow here. This thing great in the snow. Seems to be built solid. Live in SW area.
