    original post here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/travel/278406-road-trip-july-2013-a.html

Thought I should post this in the region specific areas as well.

Me and the wife are gonna load the truck up and take a 2 week road trip this july. Here is the tentative route.

We are going to try and make it from phoenix, to kentucky as fast as possible, spend 5 days or so in KY visiting relatives there, then meander our way back to phoenix over the next week.

So if you guys have any suggestions of must see places, must do trails/scenic drives (nothing my stock 4x4 trail limo cant handle), yummy places to eat ect I'd love to hear about them.

We are already planning on doing the alpine loop in Colorado, and some of Trail of the ancients.

I can tell you right now that both routes have some pretty boring parts right in the middle going through Kansas or Texas and part of Oklahoma...
