I didn't realize there were so many fellow Taco nerds in Iowa!

Work in Ames and live outside of Madrid.

1996 Green Standard Cab Taco with topper, 33s and 3".

I would be up for shooting the breeze sometime over some adult beverages if you guys ever get a date and location set up. :D

Just thought I'd say hello from the North side of DM.

Traded in my 2011 F150 this week on a 2012 MGM Access Cab TRD Off-Road.

    Really enjoying the new Tacoma!

Indeed. But I'm still proud. Been watching them since the 70's...it's been much worse.;)

I was driving a 2004 Grand Cherokee before the Ford, and when the Jeep started flaking out I decided to get the Ford because I've always wanted one, a truck would be handier than a SUV, and I figured if I'm getting a truck I might as well get a full-size since I'd had others before. Never had a smaller truck.

The Ford rides and drives great, and the 5 liter V8 has awesome power. For the most part I had no complaints about the truck. I did find that I didn't need a full-size truck though. In the dozen times that I used the box in the 2 years that I owned it, a smaller truck box would have worked fine. I guess I don't do big projects around the house like I used to when I was younger. It was a pain to park in the small parking spaces at work too. I wasn't going to go through another Winter with the crappy OEM Hankook Dynapro AT's, so instead of buying new tires I got a new truck! :D

Lol, those are some pricey tires! I drove a 2011 f150 for a couple days. I liked everything about it except for the in-town driving.
What tires your running on the taco?

It's got the factory Rugged Trails on it, P265/70R16

I'll just run them for now and see how they do, but I'd like to get a set of Firestone Destination AT tires at some point. Probably not going to change it from stock any time soon.

The rugged fails aren't going to please you this winter. I got some Cooper ATP3's and so far I love them, haven't had them in the snow yet though.

You are officially on my speed dial :D I need a cab mount chop realllllll bad!
