I'm going with Tundra Trd progressive coils and Tundra shocks. I'll eventually upgrade the shocks to 5100s or nitrochargers. It's about 2.5" of lift.

If any of y'all are planning to go on that off reading trip, text the guy and let him know. He needs numbers.

Yep, Icons with around 2" lift. I'm waiting on my Brute Force Fab rear bumper. I know I'd tear off my factory trailer harness if I tried any crazy hills off-road now. Need to send Billy a note to see what's up, he should be making it any day now, it's been 6 weeks I think.

On a side note related to the rear bumper... For many years I drove a 1975 K5 Blazer with a 3/4 ton drivetrain. My brother and I went playing off-road just North of I-80 where Beaver Creek is. You can't go there now but we could back then. He told me to drive down this hill because he'd done it before on his dirt bike, so I did. Took me down into the creek bed! I dented my gas tank on the frozen ground getting back up out of there, that's how steep it was! That Blazer sat a bit taller than my Tacoma.

How did we miss this event? Sounds like fun. Class B roads aren't that bad.

That is the same setup I am running. Are you going with the 5100s? You should look into some dust/mud covers for the Bilsteins. Both of my 5100s are leaking. I am afraid the seals failed from too much dirt/mud/sand mix getting on the shaft and I do not even take my truck mudding. Drier climates I think they would be just fine. Any lift for the rear or just trying to level it out? BTW I was looking for an apartment the other day and apparently drove by yours. I seen your green Taco in the parking lot...small world.

Creeper! Just kidding. This is the ghetto of Ames, so you will find old cheap places over here.

As of right now, I'm just going to run the stock Tundra shocks and coils with new Taco top plates. I need new leafs, but I'm going to ask for them for my birthday in september, so right now I'm not trying to raise the front a ton until then. If the ride is crap I will get the 5100s in anticipation. And actually I was planning on dust boots when I get good shocks.

Yo Adam, you don't have carb sync gauges, do you? Or know someone in Ames with some? I thought the motorcycle club had them, but I guess not.

No big deal. I usually go by feel and response, but with 4 carbs it's getting a little tough. And pulling the plugs and checking color 15 times a day is annoying.

Just make me a fair offer. I put them on craigslist for $50 or best offer because I don't know what they sell for, but I'm not too attached to them.
