After you left I worked/misplaced tools until about 4:20 am. Then drove in some hardcore fog.

    Items completed yesterday:
    Timing belt
    Idler
    Tensioner
    Water pump
    Thermostat
    Crankshaft seal
    Camshaft seals
    Plugs and wires
    MAF cleaning
    five tire rotation
    oil and filter
    battery terminal cleaning
    paint touch up
    brake booster vacuum valve
And too much BSing because that list seems short considering the hours worked.

    That took a while!

It was getting foggy by the time I left.

I had done all of that to my Tacoma not my 4Runner. I only did an inspection on the 4Runner last year after buying it. I looked for bad bearings and a leaky pump but it checked out OK. Luck would have it this weekend the only component that I had concerns with on the 4Runner I didn't buy a replacement part for. That was the fan bracket bearing. FYI through the dealer it is around $700 because it is a whole assembly but on rockauto.com they sell just the bearing and casting for about $113 and it is also made by Aisin, part number fbt004.

Would anyone be interested in (5) 285/70R17 (33") hankook dynapro m/t tires? They are siped for winter and have about 3/4 life left.

Went to the MIOBI land yesterday despite getting 2 inches of rain early in the morning. Bad idea. Again. It was extremely slick and I almost rolled 3 times. Slid down a hill completely sideways bracing myself for the rollover. I checked and there isn't a poop stain on my seat, so I'm good there. I also had water over the hood twice, once without the deck plate cover. had to winch 3 times, but the winch performed very well.

Found a couple mud holes that didn't look too bad, so I tried running them. The first one is shown below. The second one was even deeper, about 3 feet deep I would say. The winch was working overtime trying to get me out of them. All the other trucks were up at camp so I was alone, just praying that I got out.

I didn't take many pictures since it was always muddy out, but here's what I got.

The damage at the end of the day is my emergency brake somehow came loose, and I have no power steering at idle or low rpm.

Next week I'll roll over 13,000 on my 2012. In October it will be two years since I bought it. No plans to change to anything else, I like it a lot! :D

ETA: I just saw your pics, Ryan, and that is insane! I've never tried anything that deep in any vehicle.

My roommate used to live in Waterloo. He says stay clear of the gangsters and thugs. Mainly the south side.

Took the wifes car scuba diving on saturday night :frusty: got it all cleaned out and all the water out of the cylinders, and its running fine. Drove it to work today. Still need to get the oil changed and air filter replaced though. Shit was crazy, before I even knew it, we were up to our knees in water.
