Yea toyota trucks in general are rare around here. I'm guessing its the road salt that rots the trucks out and they die an early death here. IT makes it real fun trying to order parts, since pretty much everything has to be sourced from the west coast or the south.

Shipping on items is a PITA. Luckily we have Pete and ChiTown 4x4 to help with some of that

I'm talking junkyard parts are a pain to find on any model year Toyota truck in these parts. You go out west and they have Toyota specific yards (i know there's one in MO because Ive order parts from them on marlins board). When i was building my lefty, it took a month due to running into snags with bearings (me being dumb and messing a few of them up) and having to order from marlin or inchworm, boom there's a week. I don't know if chitown 4x4 stocks marlins and inchworms parts (may be in the same boat as me having to order them), but i mean even building a toyota mini truck axle becomes cost prohibitive due to the lack of parts around here, and the stuff that is here is $$$$ for some junk.

    Rant done lol!!

I joke around saying its easier to find decently priced Ferrari parts around here than to find reasonably priced/stock early toyota truck parts.

A friend of mine does them at his shop called Autos "R" Us. Not sure what he charges, but I have seen them and he does a great job he is in Chicago.
    Shop Number: (773) 847-5300

    Or Mark (NwiTACO).
He did mine and is in North West Indiana and he does them as well. PM him for his number. He isn't as far as it sounds.

Does he do custom work too? Exhaust (re-route)?

Mark does a very good job and fair pricing. Did my CMC with him and slider conversion.

Not sure. I think they can do just about anything. My GF's dad Manages a Midas near my work. I had him do my exhaust crossover.

Thanks guys. After you get those exhaust crossovers modified swing by and we will eliminate the bumpout in the t-case skid (depending on skid manufacturer). Gain every inch of clearance you can! ;)

There's a few cab mount chops in my thread here:

Whats up everyone ended up putting some cooper STT on my truck Monday night. Just sold my stock tires last night to a kid in Naperville for 400.00 bucks so I paid 380.00 installed for the STT. Got to love those deals.

Hey guys. Just checking in from Des Plaines. Been using the forum for many years but finally signed up and been posting for about a month.

I have a 2003 Lunar Mist Access Cab 4x4 TRD O/R that I bought new in late 2002. The truck served as a DD for the first 10 yrs of it's life. I've finally retired it from an every day driver to a foul weather driver and looking forward to using it for it's intended purpose.

Here are a couple if crappy cell phone pics I took right after rolling it off the lift following the 883 install.

For any of you peeps that need your brakes done. I have done a few sets and picked up some tools for drums and disks to make it easy PM me and I can do them for you. It is pretty easy and only takes an hour or two provided your caliper pins aren't seized! lol
