Well guys the days of me owning a truck are no more. I drive 40+ miles a day to to work and the boat is now at the marina all year. I was spening between 80-100 a week in gas in the Tundra. And yes the Tundra was a really nice comfortable ride, but at 13/14 mpg it was getting to be to much. So on Monday I got this. Lexus GS 350. I get about 23/24 mpg in it and am super happy with the purchase. I haven't had a car since I was in HS so it will take me getting used to. But overall i've had it for 3 days and love it so far.

It's actually off a car in an older issue of super streer mag of a s12 240 and I just really liked the decal it will most likely come off soon but I figured if any one noticed my truck it would probably be my heartbreaker decal... :p

I have liked the GS since they came out and always wanted one and being very Toyota loyal it was pretty much a no brainer . I did test drive an Infinity G37X and absolutly hated it. It wasn't comfortable, confusing controls, and seemed to be a little more rough of a ride. I didn't want a camry b/c they aren't sporty enought, the Lexus IS is too small, the ES is a Camry, and the LS is a boat. So the GS was perfect, its AWD, sporty, powerful and gets decent MPG. It was a one owners, the dealer made me a deal I couldn't turn it down, esp when gas is getting to $4 a gallon. Dealer also delivered it from Indy and put 4 new Yokohama tires on it. Overall very happy with it.

Thank you sir, I really like it so far. It not super fast, but it is plenty fast enough for me. Runs to 60 in about 5.7sec and has plenty of room on the inside for 4. All I need to do now is get the windows tinted and have the iphone/android phone hookup installed.

The new car looks great! I've always liked the GSes and the ISes. I'd like to have an IS at some point in the future as my second vehicle.

I removed the window tint off my back window and it seems too light to me even with the factory tint

    Yes, exactly!

thank you sir, I am very happy with it so far.

I agree, i have liked the GS/IS since they came out, but the IS is a little to small for me. Would have been nice to get the V8 version but they are really hard to find and I dont think you could get the AWD which was a must. I think I'm going to get the back windows darker than the front, but its going to be a couple of weeks, my tint guy is booked till the 24th :(

I had an IS300 back in the day before the IS250/350. I liked it but it was slow and a bit small. It was a manual too. I sold it to get my Tacoma.

I have heard the same thing about them small/slow. But the new IS 250/350 are pretty quick. From what I've read the 350 will hit 60 in under 5 seconds, but they are still too small for me. If they would still make the IS wagon I might have considered that. But I think I would have gone into shock had I gone from the Tundra to the IS. How is the GTO doing?

I have a buddy that works at Toyota and he had a IS350 it ran decent. I drove a IS250 manual and it was worse then the IS300. My neighbor just sold his GS as he needed more room for 4 kids He really like it it killed him to sell it. He now drives a minivan.

I just recently sold the GTO it ran well made 330hp to the wheels. I liked it but I have really been wanting a C6 Corvette and the GTO just is not a Vette. I might wait until winter as they are cheaper to pick one up looking for 6spd 06-08 Z51 package. :D
