As the title reads, I plan on moving from FL to CO late summer/early fall. Plan on moving to the Denver area. If you are from CO, have every visited, or have lived there, or currently live there, what are your feelings on CO? What are your likes/dislikes about living in CO...or while you visited.

Also, what are must things, to go do or see. Also, what are some must eat type places, as all states have those kinda places. Thanks.

I used to go to Denver every quarter with my old job.

Lots of cool stuff to do. Down the road is Idaho Springs and the Tommyknocker brew pub. I miss going there!

    Lodo is cool.

    They have Six Flags.

Shotgun Willy's is always cool! :D

I love CO. Have been there a couple times w/ business and a couple w/ vacation. In fact I'll be back out there this Oct. Denver isn't my fav, but it is the typical big city. I am more of a mountains and woods person myself. Tall buildings and traffic are not for me. But as far as states in general.

Nice move! I have an uncle that lives outside of denver in Castle Rock. I have not been there in a while to visit, but the times I have, thought it was beautiful out there! I guess people who live there get used to always seeing snow covered mountains as a back drop, but to me that is amazing! When I was younger I went out with my sister and brother-in-law and he rented an suv and we drove to the top of Pike's peak. Think that would be fun in the Taco! Something cool to do and the veiws where amazing! Good luck on your move!

Thanks to everyone for the information. Keep it coming. I definitely look forward to something different. I've lived in FL for the last 12 years and need a change. I look forward to actually experiencing a true fall again, and a winter.

I also look forward to the 31 hour drive lol.

I will definitely end up going to an Av's game, because that's one of my fave hockey teams. I also will probably go to a Broncos game and sport a new authentic Tim Tebow jersey because they drafted him, and I am a huge Gators fan. I also plan on going snowboarding a few times. That should definitely be interesting, as I will probably fall off the side of a mountain, break quite a few bones, and get stuck in a tree or get buried in the snow lol. I am surprised no one told me to per take in the naked pumpkin run that happens in Boulder...

I might do the pikes peak thing. Sounds like it could be fun to do, and it sounds like I could get some really amazing shots.

I am looking at lofts and nicer apartments...most of the lofts are in Denver, but are not in the city, and most of the nice apartments, are directly in the city, and in huge buildings lol. I will probably end up in the apartment in the city, which is fine. It will be a whole new experience. Being able to look out of my window, and seeing the city...

Thanks to those who told me good luck on my move. I know I am excited. Big move for someone that is 21...

Greg, why didn't you make your 13 posts 1? Ha.. Anyway. If you love possible snow from August to July you'll love it. Tons of sunlight, lots of trails, downtown has alot of cool bars depending on what you like. I probably like everything about Colorado, snowboarding has some awesome places, hiking, camping, fishing in the summer. Really nothing I dislike except maybe the windy days it's pretty bad. Good luck on your move though.
