On 13 February 1997 CG 44363 together with three of her four crew was tragically lost trying to rescue the crew of a sailing boat at Quillayute River.
Killed were BM2 David Bosley, MK3 Matthew Schlimme and SN Clinton Miniken. SA Benjamin Wingo survived.
Please take a moment to remember these young men who died "That Others Might Live"

We are so used to seeing the Coast Guard make all of these incredible rescues that we forget how dangerous it is. They almost make it look too easy. You guys in the Coast Guard do an outstanding job.
