Just wanted to start a thread on the scandal with the Director of CIA. Its a pretty big scandal with a very high profile person. The timing is extremely interesting with the Benghazzi testimony next week and it comes out right after the election. It also looks like his affair was going on while he was on AD. That's a big no no.

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on teh matter and if anyone has thougths on him as a General. My army buddies have mixed views.

    Don't fuck with the administration.

Petraeus did not deliver the news that Congress was hoping for a few years ago.
NYT ran a full-page ad "Petraeus or Betrayus?"

He was screwed on November 6th.

    Nothing good from either side.

As a general, it would be easy to say he's no Powell or Schwarzkopf, but he was not exactly handed an ideal situation, finding himself leading "The Army we have, rather than the Army we want".

The whole situation over there has been a clusterfuck from day-1 and there are no winners from either administration.
