A guy invented an I.Q. machine. You'd put in an I.Q number, and it would give you an example of someone with that level of intelligence.

He put in 180, and the machine started talking about E=Mc2.

He put in 125, and the machine showed a guy balancing his checkbook.

He put in 60, and the machine started singing "From the halls of Montezuma..."
I'm an infantry Marine and wouldnt mind comparing GTs and ASVABS??? You game Lucy?

hey gj, I'll play, but first you gotta tell me what a "GTs" is. Back when I went in all there were were the ASVABs. Is it another "aptitude" test?

(thanks for your service)

no GT(general technical) is actually a score you get when you take the ASVAB. You should get multiple scores when you take an ASVAB. 0-99 is th ebase score you get at the end which i beleive is due to reading wrinting arithmatic. GT is with gears, electrical, Ohms and all that crap. its kinda your mechanical smarts. there is some others but that is the main ones, ASVAB and GT.

Ah, I remember taking them like it was yesterday.

I aced the electronic, math, mechanical parts. They seemed so easy, I was straight As in high school in electronics, and working on my own two cars and every friend in the neighborhoods gave me some mechanical smarts. The only part I had an issue with was the "English" or "language" or whatever they called itpart of the general...I have never given a crap what a pronoun is (still don't). LOL.

I was offered "any position in the US military I wanted". I said "doctor", they said "sign for 8 years". I said no. I said "pilot", they said "sign for 8 years". I said no. I said "computers" they said "sign here". I did.

Some girl sitting on my left was just tapping her pencil on the desk and looking around the room. She'd look down and just color a few dots now and then. The guy on my right was drawing a Christmas tree design with the dots. Those two probably ended up officers.
