Well I'm turning 23 here in a month and figure its time to figure out if I really want to join the military or not.

I have always enjoyed doing something out of the ordinary (I'm bored of my current job). I'm a Eagle Boy Scout, recently returned from a 2 year church mission trip to Australia, love camping, extreme sports etc . . .

For those of you in military which branch are you in and why do you enjoy that specific branch? If you could switch to a different branch which one and for what reasons?

If this helps, I would like to be infantry and fight.

    Thank you in advance

Hello fellow Zonie. It sounds like you are leaning either Army or Marines. From an Army Reserve standpoint, you can "test the waters" without going full time by being reserve. If you love things it's not real hard to pick up orders, training, tours etc and do a lot more than the minimum time. Army reserve does not have infantry though.

It took me a minute to realize what you ment by "Zonie" haha.

Yeah I suppose I am leaning to the Army or Marines.

I would like to do something that is going to test me physically and mentally. Back in high school I was a state Track and Cross Country athlete (I'm not trying to brag because track and cross country obviously isnt a "cool guy sport", just explain that I believe I feel im mentally strong).
