    This is something I have been thinking about for YEARS.

    I took the leap and went to meet the recruiter today. I signed all of my initial forms and stuff. Got a 91 on my practice ASVAB. Going to MEPS in Knoxville next week on March 4th and 5th to get my physical and take the real ASVAB and get my job and swear in. I will probably go into the DEP (Delayed Enlistment Program) for about 4-5 months while my fiance and I try to put a wedding together and then I will leave for basic. Unless I can get a guaranteed job and ship off within the next month in which case we will get married at the courthouse before I leave and have a ceremony after I get out of Tech School.

    Looking to get a guaranteed job for 1A3X1, 2E2X1, 3C2X1, or 3C0X1.. all computer related jobs which is what I already do for a living.

    I am excited in a nervous kind of way :cool:

    Good Job! I'm currently in the USAF at Langley AFB as a 2E673 (Telephone Guy). Be aware that most of the 2E and 3C jobs will be combining in October to form a 1B1X1 career field. Either route (in terms of jobs) will be great for you. The new structure requires most everyone to get a CompTIA certification, either Network+ or Security+. If you have any questions, let me know, I work with both 2Es and 3Cs.

    Just joking! Actually missile test sets are now very small boxes that take about 30 seconds to run. Back in the old days it would take thirty minutes to an hour.
