    I've been a USAA member since 1988 &
now am comparing rates with a couple of local agents (State Farm & AllState).
For me, it started once USAA stopped underwriting powersports (bikes, sleds etc.)
They passed it off to Progressive who's rates were not as attractive as when USAA took care of it.

The 2nd thing was my house insurance rates dramatically increasing.
Now my DMV record is clean, credit excellent, no claims fwiw.

Last thing, and probably the most important to me is the $4200 in my subscribers savings account
which is untouchable unless I die or cancel my insurance policies.
So....I'm thinking of cancelling & going with a local agent.

I've read online that it takes 6 months which is fine.
Since I no longer move so much in retirement, my local agent is great & can save me $$.
Plus I can put that $4200 to better use than just sitting there gaining nothing..........
Has anyone here left USAA and received their SSA check???
