Back in the early 80's when I joined, I wanted to be a Crew Chief. My recruiter told me that at that moment all crew chief schools were full.
He said go "Open Mechanical", and that if he was a betting man that I would get a crew chief slot. Well, that's what I did. And think Gawd for that. I'd hate to be a crew chief now.

Whenever my cousin was deciding what branch he wanted to go into, everyone he talked to said AF for those same reasons.

Personally I want to kick in doors, so AF is pretty limited in that department (TAC-P is the only MOS they have for infantry, right AF guys?)

I think doing SERE would be pretty badass though!

I originally planned on enlisting in the Army and being in the 101st. I know people say Airborne is hell on your knees, is Air Assault also hell?
The air force has three pretty goof special MOS, Combat Controller being the gnarliest followed by Para Rescue but ur more of a combat medic jumping out of helos there, and then TAC-P. TAC-P by far the easiest to get into cause there indoc is weaker but still doing some heavy shit man. Just if you join the AirForce get the job u want in your contract 100% or u will prolly end up security forces in which ur only chance to do something cool out of that is to go to the 820th SFG where we deploy a good amount and normally pretty good mission. We did area security ops my last two deployments so its outside the wire stuff.

Choose wisely man
