Presume prays was autocorrect for praq's. Yeah, the erats system is interesting. We haven't been sucked into it yet but for the rates that have def keeps people from gun decking them.

I haven't checked the latest A School list but wait times now are insane, 4+ years for some.

O6 - AF Retired - 2010
28 years (F-4s, Trainers, JTAC (AF Airborne living & providing air support w/ Army - 172SIB, 75th Ranger Rgt, 18ABN, 3Corps) plus required staff qweep).

Got my Tacoma 03 after being deployed in AFG w/ the Regiment and seeing Tacomas taking a beating over there and keep going. Some of the special operators we worked with had their own Tacomas.
Good thing about deploying a few times, Less miles on a 10yr old truck.

I guess it's my turn to check in here.
CWO4(AVI) USCG Ret.
E-1 to E-7 (ADC), ADC to CWO4
ADC is Aviation Machinist Mate Chief
AVI is Aviation Engineering Specialty

I found the chatter about Cadets interesting. I have worked with them as an Enlisted and as an Officer. They have NO rank outside of their class standing and their leadership position at their respective Academy. As future leaders they are to be treated respectfully but they fall nowhere in the command structure until they are Commissioned.

While I was on Recruiting Duty I used to arrange to bring them into the Office during their "school breaks" (basically extending their leave and thus time at home) and had a hell of a time getting them not to call me "Sir"

Retired is the best rank and a total equalizer.
