Does anyone know how many flight hours Army WO's average a month while deployed/at home? Info for wanna be.

 

Depending on additional duties and FAC level, I've seen an average between 350 to 400 hours for an intire 12 month deployment. The airframe also plays a factor as I have heard of MEDVAC UH-60 pilots flying a lot more. You'll also fly a lot more in OEF than OIF these days.

 

Thanks for the info!! What airframe are you flying, OPSEC permitting? I'm about to get my instrument rating in the R-44 and a WOFT look on the May-10 board.

 

I'm rated in a UH-60 and OH-58. Most of my hours are in a 60 but I am currently back to 58s and enjoying it.

 

I second that. Most of our CWs got about 500 hrs last year in OIF (12 months), and i would say maybe 100-200 garrison depending on CTCs or other training. We actually flew more than our MEDEVAC, which is a good thing. They were pretty spread out around the AO so maintenance etc. limited their hours more. Just my $0.02.
