I guess I'll get in on this since youre letting AGE and AMMO in here. I was Crew Chief on C-130E&H slicks at LRAFB til I crossed to the dark side, now Im a KC-10 Boomer. I got tired of fixing them, now I just break shit. Or at least pin as much blame as I can on the pilots.

You were once Mx... You are ok for now.

On the 46, you will be an aerial refueling operator, or ARO. Boeings terms, not mine.

F*ck the KC-46, Im stickin to my KC-10 til they put her out to pasture. The boom system on the 46 sucks. I like my window, and my direct line of site. The only advantage I see to the 46 system is a wider viewing range. That 3-d glasses stuff is for the birds. The Japanese and the Italians already have the 46 and they are always complaining about them.

Welcome to the new age. I didn't design it. I'm just EE who got the job to work with afotec. The 10 will be gone in under 10 years. Adapt or die. Better hope you aren't one of the 20% of people who can't see the 3d images properly.

I understand its not you, and that its the "new age". Im just not a fan. I dont plan to stay active anyway so Im going to end up having to switch airframes. As for the 3-D, the glasses give me a headache. I can see it, but I cant wear them for long. I know Ive had days where Ive sat in the ARO for 1-4 hrs just doing back to back AR. I think getting rid of the 10 will be a big mistake in the end. The 135 has lived out its usefulness.

Crew chief here. Was at Elemndorf before, Lakneheath now.

Crewed F-15C's at Elmo, the a brief stint on the F-22 after we got rid of the 15s. Then went to Lakenam to crew F-15Es.

Now, I just got stuffed in an office as a UDM.....sad panda
