    I've always liked the way the Navy quotes speed of a vessel. 25+ knots, hmm! I know that US subs are not as fast as their Russian counterpart but I think they go a little faster than 25.....
    We can't give away any secrets now, can we?

    Here's a few of pictures from our last takeoff of the exercise. We flew against the South Carolina Air Guard.
    1st picture is one of our NEW F-15C. It is a 79 model.
    2nd is an A taxiing out of the Alert barn.
    3rd is they are heading for the runway.
    4th is another one of our OLD A models (75).
    And last is the Ford Superduty that we transported the Chaff and Flare in.

    Since I put up a picture of our latest sub in our fleet now some old school stuff. This is the sub my dad served on the USS Wahoo SS565 from 1953-1955 he was a radio operator aboard her his rate RM3(SS).

    Dimensions: 268 feet (82 m), extended to 287 feet (87 m), then to 302 feet (92 m)

    GE LM2500 Gas turbine engine. Without this all those jets everyone posted would not go anywhere. The Navy uses these to propel a few class ships.
