First two pictures are the USS Iowa firing her 16 inch rifles and an Iowa Class Battleship in drydock.
Next two pictures are of the USS Enterprise.

    The Tupolev Tu-160
The Soviets (Russian) answer to the Bone (Rockwell B-1).
Second picture is of Tu-160 with two MiG-31 escorts.
Last picture is the very conventional looking cockpit. You would think such a modern aircraft would have glass displays.

I guess their spies didn't get a copy of the U.S. heads up display technology.

The Kennedy is big. I am currently station where she was, and she is huge. In a way I am glad she is gone because of traffic, and in a way I am not.

The basic unit is a single rifleman.
I use all of this fancy stuff. But it can`t take or hold ground.

That post of all the WWII planes by JOEDIRT gave me goose bumps! My favorite plane of all time is the F4U Corsair.

Seeing this in real life at Hill AFB in '06 brought a tear to my eye. Absolutely incredible. A P-51, F-16 and F-22 in formation. Past, present and future. It gets your blood running. Three reasons we (American's) kick ass. God bless America!

I am going to the Reno Air Races in September...hopefully they will be flying lot's of military harware. I love the WWII aircraft.

Dude, that's badass! 1st picture is the Hornet in 26 May 1942. In between the Battle of Coral Sea and the Battle for Midway.
Second picture is taken on 26 Oct 1942 during the Battle of Santa Cruz. She was struck by heavy aircraft bombs and torpedoes. Her attending destroyers attempted to sink her but failed. The Japanese sank her with submarine torpedoes.
By the way, she is the half-sister of the Yorktown CV-5 and the famous Enterprise CV-6!

    Reminds me...

Whats the difference between a C-5 and the crew that operates it? The C-5 quits whining once it's on the ground...

    Bumping this thread.
1st picture is an AIM-7M being uploaded from an MHU-141 trailer by some Load Toads.
2nd picture is Kadena based F-15C multiple launch of AIM-7s.
3rd is Hawaii Air National Guard (HANG).
4th picture is my own F-15A/C's of the FANG diposing of our old AIM-7Ms by shooting them in the Atlantic. There is supposed to be a target out there somewhere!
