I'll be SD on the 6th for NMPS until I head off to the middle east.

I've heard that there is a really nice BOQ/CBQ by the beach on one of the bases down there (North Island maybe)

Can anyone shed some light on this?

or is it a Navy Lodge?

Yah there is a Navy Lodge on North Island. It's pretty nice I stayed there for a night it's right in the beach too.

    Check out my sig...
Amphib base has a good view and accomodations if you dont mind being woken up at 0-dark-rediculous because of SEAL training across the street.

You can also stay @ Naval Base Point Loma. Near the airport and basically on the bay.
