I'm sure Linwood will chime in. Good luck to ya, I've heard horror stories of being a recruiter, good thing my MOS doesn't have to fill those billets.

Reach out to the "influencers" in the community. You'll find lots of vets and retirees who are willing to help. I work closely with our local recruiting company recruiters - provide them access to our college sporting events, to our open houses, etc. We're here to help you make that mission!

I wasn't USAREC but I worked with Recruiters. I can tell you from 2002 to just a year or so ago it was hell trying to make mission. Now things have let up some. Not only because of the suicides in the Houston Recruiting Battalion. LINK but also because the military is in a draw down. The quality of life for a Recruiter seems to be much better now.
