    Check Amazon they have great prices on everything I already have my CB I'm getting my antenna, coax, mounting bracket from Amazon tomorrow I'm going with the firestik 2 4' black for 18. Dollars everything I'm getting will run about 35 + tax

    ive seen many pics without the spring. also does the antenna come with the mounting washers and nuts that go on the side mount?

    and mike, the firestik has the tuneable tip, so im good.

    You can do without the spring but then you're more succeptible to breaking you antenna if you hit a tree or something

    Hey look at wilson antennas too. They are flexible so you don't need a spring.
