    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/south-west/212628-operation-moab-trail-listing.html

camping at main Area BFE site is free, but donations to Area BFE are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED for their help in organizing this event and giving us a great area to call home for the weekend. they have a donation box located at the park to accept donations, or if you prefer, i can collect $$ and remit to Olaf at Area BFE after the event

    DONATIONS
There are many options for you to make donations to Area BFE for their efforts in this event and their efforts in providing this one of a kind off-road park for users:

    1. Paypal $$ directly to Area BFE (info@areabfe.com)
    2. Check or money can be handed to Jace or me which will be delivered to Olaf at Area BFE
    3. Deposit checks into the donation drop box at Area BFE's entrance
    4. Olaf may actually be around that week also, and money can be handed directly to him

There has been a lot of interest in getting together for another TW Moab Meet in spring 2012...

This thread will be used to accumulate a list of interested parties, trail requests, camping suggestions, non-wheeling event ideas, food and beverage plans, etc etc etc...

This won't be happening until May 16-20, 2012, but this will allow people enough time to prepare their rigs, get time off, solidify plans and not have any reason as to why they couldn't make it this year!

Wednesday would be for the really early birds and Thursday will be for the early birds

Friday-Sunday would have trail runs/hiking/sightseeing options

I know one of the days a few of us plan on taking a hike to fisher towers or another dog friendly place...

interested parties so far...not all confirmed but the following has shown interest and are either confirmed or maybes...

Option #1, Main Camp - Area BFE, Lower lot....i'm looking to rent a porta-potty to put at our camp location too ($100-150 for the weekend) and i ask to leave a donation to Area BFE as well...they do not ask for any fees to wheel at the area or to camp, but they are ran off donations and anything helps..

Area BFE map...lower lot will be the main camping area and parking for trailers will be in the upper lot if you cannot fit in the lower lot..

    Other options:
Last year JanBoothius found is a large camping area at the end of Potash road which could work for such a large group...there are many satellite camp spots around the area off the main camping location as well...downfall was the distance to town and to bathrooms & showers

Def interested. I can go just about any weekend. Last time I was there we had a horrible storm and i70 was closes for almost 100 miles. I wanted to shoot several people trying to go the back way in minivans in front of me.

this year's EJS is 3/31-4/8 so that won't be an issue this year

4/27-29 April action car show also held in Moab
5/4-6 Miatas in Moab (won't impact trails at least)
5/12 road bicycling event held near La Sal mtns...

Cruise Moab last year was 5/3-8 so we'll have to keep an eye on that

so far there are no major events being held around those time frames...we'll have to keep an eye on any double-wide events being held there this year

also if there are any other events you know of that are being held in Moab around April/May time, lets plan around the big events...

we'll have a decent size group of trucks already in the area, we don't need to fight big crowds if we don't have to

I am going to Moab next year, I just don't know when. So I will be watching this.

Also, we stayed in Moab (off peak rates) for $90 per person, in a 3 bedroom Condo, from Friday to Monday. I think we had 8 people in the Condo.
