 looking good! I really like that rack system. Thinking about designing a rack system that fits inside the topper and still works as a bed rack when it's off. When the top is on it would have tons of places for clamping stuff and still leave the bed space open.

    :D
Rear and side rock lights are actually 5050 LED strips.
Front rock lights are some shitty cheap Walmart lights I put HID bulbs in.

    Soon...
LEDs sound nice to have. I have some old rectangular lights that I was going to recycle as rock lights I just need to figure on mounting locations.

I like the way your lights are set up. My LEDs are supposed to be getting here today. What did you use to secure them? I've heard people using 3m tape to jb weld, I just want to make sure they don't come off while on the trail...

I haven't installed mine yet but the ones I have have adhesive on the back already and then I will put zip ties every couple feet

Idk if the new ones I ordered are better quality but the ones I put in my bed didn't stick to well. Are you going to put them on the side of the frame or on the cab? I haven't really looked at a good place to put them.

Me neither. I know I will be scouring the surface to be extremely clean. Might even prep with some spray adhesive before I stick it. The zip ties will just be a safety net. I want to get good light from them so ill have to find a way around the sliders and skids, etc.

Yea rock lights are my last major project before Moab. Not too concerned whether or not I get around too it. But the only thing I'm stuck on is how to attach them. I got the vision x rock light led pods but I think I'm going to need some angle aluminum to make brackets to mount them where they will be best positioned. I also think I'm going to need some industrial adhesive to secure them but haven't found anything yet. I don't have any experience with jb weld but maybe it would do the trick?

The only metal part as far as I can tell is where the side panels bolt up to the bed.

This is the drivers side looking back at where the bed meets the side panel. The black is plastic and the red is metal.

    Stock… for now
hmmm leave it to modern design to make life "fun" but from the looks of it you will have to run a grounding strap from mount directly to your frame. when you just clean the area under a mounding bolt of paint and add the strap there and then run it down to your frame.

Self adhesive. They have 3m tape on the back.

I didn't do much prep at all. Just a quick wipe down with acetone and used a roller to put them on. Also a zip tie on each end as the ends are normally the parts that peel.

So if I have this correct I will:
    1) Clean off the area where the fire ring hits the mount.
    2) Then I will clean off one of the mounting bracket bolts and where that bolt hits the mounting bracket.
    3) Then I will run a ground strap/ground wire from the cleaned bolt to the frame.
