Planning a trip to Moab, Need help :)

Hello everyone, my family and I were planning a trip to moab in about 2-3 weeks and needed some advice on good camping spots, and good trails for tacomas, razors, and even dirtbikes. We were planning on taking the campers down and we have generators, so a overcrowded KOA campground is not what im looking for. Looking for some seclusion while not being too far away, the moab experience, and lots of mobbing/adventuring. If someone with first hand experience on whats good and bad there could chime in that would be totally sweet. Oh and what should I expect for high/low temps down there? Thanks again TW :D

Alrighty, dont really plan to take the campers thru hell and back, but thanks again for all the trail info. Do you have any other camping locations that would maybe be a little easier access for our campers? Can you basically get lost in the desert and set up camp or is there stay on the road rules?

Epic video btw. When do these meets usually happen?

These are the BLM camping areas around Moab. It is generally frowned upon to just find a random spot and camp but there are a lot of "designated" camping areas that are somewhat remote and definitely not overcrowded KOAs.

If I were you I would look at the camping areas listed on the Kane Creek Road section, or the Sand Flats Rec area if you want to be somewhat close to Moab.

And below the map at the bottom of the page you will see info on primitive camping and where it is allowed.

NP. I get to Moab as often as I can which is usually only 2-3 times a year. Would definitely be more if life wasn't so busy.

You're going to see mid to low 90s for highs and mid 50 to 60 at night. Definitely pack warm clothes. If the you want to beat the heat during the day, hit the La Sal mountain pass road or Geyser Pass. They will take you up to and around the La Sal mountains. If you are a fisherman and like trout, you can get a license at the hardware store downtown and catch some nice rainbows (maybe even a cutthroat) at one of the many "lakes" around the La Sal's; Blue, Dark Canyon, Oowah, or Medicine.

I will be out there 10/18-21, plan to run the a few of the trails recommended above, including 7 mile and Hells. I have run Fins n' Things, Poison Spider and the trail in Arches NP. Let me know if you will be out there at that time . . .
