I did an HID kit from an off-brand company on the 'Roads. Found that the thing would shut down without warning, then fire right back up after the ignition was killed. Without my aux lighting, I would have been invisible. I went through two sets of these POS, and finally gave up and went back to halogens. At $60 it wasn't a major hit, but was just too dangerous to risk.

Hopefully that doesn't happen with the ones I have. I read a bunch of reviews on this kit. It had good reviews so took a chance. So far so good.

Yea I also have 5k in my truck but the projectors make them a little more white than my 4-wheeler lights. Ok yea I might go through ddm also. I've been looking around and mine takes a bi-xenon kit with an H4 bulb, so there should be a ton of kits out there for it.

Yea you have to watch out on some of those real cheapy kits. The kit I have in my 400ex cost me right about 30 bucks after buying the relay harness and everything. I wouldn't put it on something that I rely to have light on but it works great on my 4-wheeler that I beat the crap out of and don't care if it has lights or not.

Ive got TRS retrofits in my truck but I'm not going to do it in my bike because I have a glass headlight so I would have to buy an aftermarket headlight and hope that it comes apart like my truck lights did in order to put the projectors in.

Found the pics of the storm I was in a month ago. Looks a lot like yours. We sat at this station for an hour waiting for it to pass. The trooper followed us in after stopping with us on the road and giving the girl a ride in. He rides too so stopped to check on us as we put our rain gear on, real nice guy.
