Its a convertable minus a wheel. Plus, seriously have you seen the people who ride them normally? It dosent ride like a motorcycle, it dosent handle like a motorcycle, it even has a car tire on it.

To each their own, if you want one by all means get one. Just dont cry and whine when your not accepted by the sport bike guys, the harley guys, or the local scooter trash group.

The funnest out of all of them is the MV Agusta, the thing is a rocket ship and handles like its on rails. The ballsiest one is the 998, its a fire breathing beast. The 999 is probably the best handling and best engine, the 1198 is the bling. The first 3 I ride hard, the 1198 is more for fun for me.

There's a gal around here who was nearly killed in a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago. She still doesn't have the balance to ride two wheels at the moment. The Can-Am keeps her riding.

So I'd say there's a place for them. Just like there's a place for whatever you ride.

I agree there are certain situation that they are warrented like the one you stated above... But medical issues withstanding, I would have to still kick my own ass if I ever rode one. I generally dont hate on people and their choices of what they ride but something about seeing someone on those just seriously makes me want to walk up (or ride up) and slap the ever living shit out of the person. LoL I do have a severe hatred for the things and I honestly dont know why. (and no its not a closet wish of having one)

OH, and I ride the beautiful italian beasts you see above!!! But that being said I would ride a pink Vespa with polk dots and flowers on it spewing YMCA and glitter from the exhaust pipe before I ever rode a can-am spyder.

Why would you want to "slap the ever living shit" out of someone who owns one? No one asked you to ride or even own one.

Be happy that person is out riding and not trying to run your ass over in a car.

Again, I dont know why I hate them so much, I just do. I hate everything about those Can-am spyders, I just cant explain it. I wish I had an explination of why but when I see someone riding one I jsut truely hate that thing. Even the guys I ride with laugh because you can see the disgust and loathing on my face when I see one. I agree, I shouldnt care but I still hate them...

I don't really hate them but I do bust up laughing out of nowhere whenever I see one.
