This has been with me for almost 20 years now. 1977 Sportster. Once in a while the thought crosses my mind that it would be nice to update to something a little more comfortable on long rides but I doubt I will. I'll ride this till I can't ride anymore

That is one sexy bike man!! What pipes do you have on there? Also what other mods are done to it and do you have backfiring issues?

EDIT: I see you have an 06 you don't have that problem.

I don't know for sure, but I understand that a Power Commander 5 with autotune will eliminate most of the backfiring issues on the 106CI bikes.
    I just ignore it.

I have the PC V with just a basic map. I waiting to get my Lloydz torque tube intake then put a custom tune on it. It is mainly an issue with the bike not getting enough air from the closed in air box.

    Thanks!

I have the Stage 2 (?) remap on thier as well. Not any backfiring, but I do get a slight popping when I decelerate. Love the biike. 1641cc/100 cu engine. New ones are even bigger! 250 series back tiregives it a cool look as well.

Yea with those pipes and the stage 2 victory remap you are good on any backfiring. In 2008 they changed some stuff up with the fuel system no big deal just a bit of a hassle. Yea the jackpot with that fat rear looks sweet. I have the new one 1731cc/ 106ci engine. I love it.

I love the fact that when I pull up somewhere, it is the only bike of it's kind, as opposed to the 20 harleys that look alike, maybe in different colors. For me, it is about being an individual, just like how we change our trucks!

been waiting about a month now for a damn centrifugal breather to come for my tt600...can't wait to get the damn part in so i can go on a real ride again!

got new sprockets and chain waiting (went 3 up in the rear), new cam cover gasket, new engine cover gasket and oil seal for the breather swap...

any other part delay wouldn't have been a big deal, but the damn breather is holding me back!

Haha, yeah my dad brought it back from Japan in 1983 when he was in the Navy. The handlebars and seat fold into the body because it's designed to go in the trunk of a car. I ride it every day to get the mail. It definitely gets lots of looks and questions. To my knowledge, there are only a few in the country. It's definitely something that I plan on holding onto forever.

If you ever want to sell that thing please let me know!!! The scoot I mean but I'd take the 675r too since I was lined up to get that but for some reason I went with the hypermotard instead.

Are you not happy with the hypermotard? Which one did you get?

I almost got an 1100 EVO, went with the SuperDuke 990 R.
