05 Suzuki c50 vs 01 Suzuki VL 1400

93 Pick up 4x4 (sold), 10' Mazda 3

So I have narrowed my search down to these 2 bikes. The 05 c50 and the 01-04 vL1400. Basically, the c50 has fuel inject and a 800cc engine. For the same price i could get a few years older bike but it be 1400ccs and have carbs. What would you all choose? I like the idea of having F.I. but also like having the bigger engine. I have experience operating that large of an engine/bike so it wont be anything new to me. FI would give me a little bet mpg's and would help when I wanted to tour. I don't really NEED a big engine but having the power there in case I do need to use it is nice
