Need help with Radiator fluid change.

So I've flushed the radiator for the first time today on my 2002 YZ 250 and I'm trying to fill it back up (following instructions in manual) And the only thing it says to do in my book once I'm done draining is to Fill engine and fill radiator. I'm pretty sure I have filled the radiator because now when i pour more into it it all seems to come out of some over flow tube down passed my engine. My question is where do i fill up the rest of it (engine). There is no description and the capacity is 1.2 liters and the radiator isn't holding more than half that.

Or did I not drain the coolant that was in the engine to begin since I only drained the radiator? I can't measure how much liquid came out because I put it in a jug that already had liquid in it =\

you can down load the manual. you drain from the passanger side. to fill, fill radator, then start truck and continue to fill. best is to look on this site and down load the manual.

Once it is started it should suck it into the engine, continue filling to full. Like they said ^

The idea is right but I'm looking for someone who knows what theyre talking about and can give me an exact answer to my question so i dont seize my engine. How can I know if .4 liters is enough when the capacity in my book is 1.2?

Did you expect to find a certified Yamaha mechanic on a Toyota site? I've been working on cars & trucks for longer than you have been alive.
Coolant flush steps
1. drain radiator
2. disconnect upper radiator hose
3. put garden hose into radiator fill
4. turn on water & start engine
5. run till water is clear then shut off water
6. when engine stops pumping water out hose shut off engine
7. reconnect radiator hose
8. add coolant till radiator is full
9. start engine & add coolant till it wont take any more
10. let engine get warm then let it cool off & check coolant level

Actually I come to this website because I enjoy it and there are many car enthusiasts that also have experience in motorcycles and this is the first place I like to start because many times I get the quickest response from here.

Problem has been resolved. Not from any of these comments I might add thanks for your time
