registering/titling in Rhode Island...how does it work?

Hello. I am wondering what you need to register an old motorcyle in Rhode Island. Its a 1980 (my dads best friend is the owner) and it doesnt have a title. I have a brother in law (stays in RI) that will title it in rhode island and then I can register/title it in my name in NC with that title. I have heard that rhode island titling is very easy versus the crap I have to deal with in NC.

Anyone know whats required in rhode island?
