Trading for 2006 crf 250r. Is it a good trade?

I have an 2004 Suzuki RM 125 2 stroke dirt bike, and a 2006 Yamaha TT-R 50 that I offered an ad i found on Craigslist. I would be trading for a 2006 Honda crf250r. The guy says he's sponsored by a local shop who thad rebuilt the motor, and redid the suspension. I know he did not race this bike, he raced his sponsors bike. Just wondering what you guys thought. Ive always been into motorcycles, but just recently really started to get into dirt bikes. I am 5' 6" and 160 lbs. Not sure if its a fair trade, or if I am getting the poop end of the stick. Lmk!

You could never go wrong with Honda. But it seems pretty stock to me nothing special.

 

Sounds like he is a good rider and probably beats the pi$% out of his bike. Even though it might be well maintained, I'm sure it has a lot of hard hours on it. I would try to find a bike with low hours and was gently used - they are out there. Just my opinion. Good luck.

 

It doesn't sound like a great deal but it also doesn't sound like a bad deal. Just because it was a local hotshoes bike doesn't mean anything bad. I would rather have a well maintained and hard ridden bike then a bike that was gently ridden and rarely maintained.

 

I've been racing since i was four years old and I've always loved two strokes. Ive raced a crf250r in the 2007 season and hated it. they are the most reliable 4stroke but thats if you keep up with all the four stroke maintenance such as oil change every 20hrs valve adjustment every 30hrs not to mention trying to get the thing to start when its hot or been running for all day. My advice is stick with what you got 125 2strokes are quick bikes and a lot easier to maintain than the big 4strokes. My advice is keep the 125 2stroke until your ready for a 250 2 stroke you'll be much happier in my opinion.
