I'm looking into an enduro bike traveling to and from work, and occasional trail riding. I'm looking into this 87 yamaha 350xt. The guy is asking 1700, this is his description....

I have a 1987 Yamaha 350xt everything works just put a new wiseco piston in it with a .5 bore it did not need to be bored over i just did it so its a smooth cylnder for the new piston also 2 new intake valves and a new timeing chain and it has a Jett kit In the carb it has good tires also has a supertrap exhast and I have extra full brake pads and wheel bearing for it it dose not need them but it comes with the bike everything works good on the enduro

My price range is around that so if anybody has had terrible experience with this bike or could recommend a better bike that would be appreciated, thanks!!

I personally have a 95 Dr 350 and they do ok on the street if geared right mine has been clocked doing 90 on the freeway half throttle 6th gear. They are very dependable bikes just keep up on maintenance oil changes frequently and what not and they will run forever

I also picked mine up for pretty cheap I'd offer him 1200 see what he says and try to pull out cash or walk away and see if he will lower the price seems high for how old it is

No problem I'm also the guy you don't want to meet when your selling used stuff though kinda a wheeler and dealer haha but if he wants to sell it you should at least be able to get him down to 1500 with ease
