Are there any Ontario riders here that have taken the M2 exit exam? I've heard it's a pain in the ass and easy to fail.....

I have never heard that it is a pain in the ass.

Going for mine in a few weeks. Just be sure to make obvious head movements when checking your mirrors and when scanning left-right-left as approaching intersections.

Here's a copy of the score sheet so you know what they are marking you on:

Great thanks!Good luck! That sheet will be a huge help. I'm going for mine in a few weeks also. One thing on that test that surprises me, under Through Intersection they have a box for no brake lights??? So I guess they expect you to apply the back brake before going through all intersections? Doesn't really make sense to me.

Maybe it's to indicate you prepared for the unexpected and have your throttle backed off and fingers on the brake slighty dragging it. Kinda in form to react..
When I did mine ya, you totaly have to over act the head movements on the mirror checks. They asked me to stop the bike and park it along the way which was kinda odd.
They follow you with a car and talk to you through a ear mic you slip over your ear under your helmet.
    Lane choice and possion
    mirror checks
    shoulder checks
    watch your speed
    stay out of blind spots

You will be fine. Good luck!

    Did mine - passed easily.

    To re-iterate some points:

Check your mirrors all the time - before braking, while riding, while stopped.
Check your blind spot often - before making a turn, when changing lanes, while riding along, after coming to a stop
Be in the correct tire track - while riding, while turning. Make sure that you are in the appropriate tire track before entering an intersection if turning onto a street.
    Watch your speed
    Use your signals
Make obvious head movements for hazards - upcoming intersections or commercial driveways, cars approaching intersections, kids on sidewalk/street, etc
Scan intersections - if stopped, continuously scan intersection (left, center, right) and keep checking mirrors
Scan intersections - during approach, scan left and right
Scan intersections - before entering, scan left and right

I got dinged twice for not checking my blind spot before turning at an intersection.
