Nice... Although you have no freeways to run, at least you guys still have a track to play on! Stuck on oahu with my 05 zx10r. Wish i took the superferry and rode on maui while it was still running....

Sweet ride.

A buddy of mine put a P-Touch label on his speedo that says "THINK"

Wizzard005 08-05-2012 05:15 PM

Out riding today. Holly crap 0 - 80 like 2secs. Crazy I must say this bike is so smooth. Shifts nice plenty o power. I am glad I didn't get the 1000 like I was going too

Sweet, great bike to own. Handling on them is just fantastic for a stock bike.

To the OP: good lookin' bike! Get some seat time and then hit the track! You will not regret it!

still learning things, haven't met anyone out here that rides, so i am just been on my own... So far i think i am doing well... still need to learn corners better, sometimes i get a little close to that darn yellow line and its darn slippery

Vigo 08-14-2012 12:44 AM

Funny, how you're irritated with the fuel light. Sure beats running out of gas ant turning the petcock valve to reserve.. Or forgetting to turn the petcock back to on and then running out of gas for good!
Guess you were spoiled with an actual fuel gauge... Riding with the light can get irritating, just set your trip odo and you'll know when to fill up to avoid the light.

As for banging turns on your new bike, just take your time, you won't know your limits until you exceed them and if you go too far, you might not be able to recover it. Set your bike's suspensoin up, go to Ohlins website, pretty straightforward directions.

How was the 250? I've always wanted to ride one of those, they look fun. Even the aprilia 125 looks like fun, wish I got one of those.

My first day riding was on a 05 636. I was hooked and ended up getting an 01 R1 and now my 05 ZX10r. Its kind of rediculous to have, but a lot of fun even if you don't get to take full advantage of its capabilities. You may never need to get rid of the 6r. Great bike you may not get much more for your riding needs by getting a liter bike later.

Damnit, it's late. And because of this thread, I want to go riding now!
