Just installed my M4 Exhaust (very nice, and very easy install) Also installed K&N air filter and 1" lowering links....

 

very nice!!

 

I really do hate you... nice bike, I want one so bad... if I ever get home one day I'll buy one.

Yeah - keep us posted on any new upgrades! Just saw the commercial for this new bike yesterday and was left drooling, to say the least.

 

You will have to trade it in for the 2013 ZX6R. They are coming back with the 636!!! Nice bike..

 

Very nice ZX6r! Im not too keen on lowering sport bikes unless you need it, but its definitely a good looking bike.

 

Same here... However i did a ton of research. and 1" seemed OK.. I still have to lower the front 3/4 to level it out.. I don't know how to lower the front yet..

 

To lower the front you need to loosen the bolts that hold the fork into the lower tripletree & then slightly loosen the ones that are in the upper. Slowly let the forks rise up so the tube will come up thru upper trippletree. If you measure before it might be like 1/4" so you'll wanna go till 1"of the fork tube sticks up thru. It's easier if you have a front stand but can be done without.

 

Quoted for truth. Pretty easy to do. Just keep in mind that the balance and handling of the bike will change. By lowering the front, you're shifting weight forward, so you'll have more grip up front and less in back. It will also make the handling feel quicker...more responsive. But if the handling is already super-responsive, you could end up making it feel twitchy. Depending on how it handles now and what you're trying to achieve, lowering the front could be good or bad.

But if you decide you don't like the feel once its lowered, it's totally reversible.
