I pretty much exclusively listen to reggae, at least whenever I'm alone and there's nobody around to shut it down. :p

I've been listening to reggae for decades -- it started out with mostly reggae from south Africa and western Africa -- Lucky Dube, Alpha Blondy, Ismael Isaac, etc. Then I started getting more into the Jamaican stuff, especially after educating about the origins of the music and the origins of Rastafari as a movement. Love all kinds of old school ska, rocksteady, and roots reggae. All the old guys -- Yellowman, U-Roy, Gregory Isaacs, Heptones, Eek-a-mouse, Culture, Steel Pulse, etc. Far too many to name.

Nowadays, I'm getting more into the modern stuff, "Jawaiian", Cali rock, etc. I used to make fun of this stuff as fake reggae, but now it's pretty much all I listen to. Really like Rebelution, Iration (especially live), Katchafire, Ryan Hiroaka, J Boog, One Drop, Stick Figure, Kiwini Vaitai, etc.

This is pretty much a perfect tune:

Yeah I used to not like the new stuff at all, however some of it is creeping in on me. There's no denying the sound quality is better than the old roots I listen too.

I've always wondered what genre revelation and Iration fall under. It's hard to find bands like them. I'm going threw your list of the "Jawaiian and Cali rock" if you have more let me know. Some of my favorite music
