    hello everyone,
i just recently purchased a 2006 taco, access cab, 4x4, 4 cyl and i guess im just curious to know what anyone and everyone's opinion are about this truck. i have never owned a small truck like this and i would like real owners to share some knowledge, instead of me finding and reading the reviews from 4 yrs ago.

    thanks,
    drew

Welcome. I don't have the 4x4 but I'm very happy with my 2wd 4 cylinder. I don't have a single complaint yet honestly. Did you have any specific questions? BTW very good looking truck.

OP, sharp truck! Engine should be bulletproof; otherwise, do a search for TSB [technical service bulletin] on the 2nd Gen section of this forum [or google]. Good luck!

Good looking rig. If you're not familiar with Toys, you'll be very pleased at the longevity and build quality. Did you really buy it without having an opinion?

i have a couple of buddies who own tacomas and they love them. i know toyota has a reputation for building great vehicles and for the price, i just had to have one. i did own a 2008 dodge ram 2wd, but got rid of it. my wife and i are headed to alaska in january for three years and i decided we needed something different. i think it should do well in the snow up there.
